Sliding gates are wider than standard gates to allow for appropriate clearance and for the stopping mechanism to work.  When you order, you'll order based on the actual width of your space.  If you have a framed doorway, you'll need to add the width of the molding on both sides to your opening since the track with be set on the wall.  Also, make sure you have enough room on one side for the gate to fully open.  Please provide photos and detailed measurements after your order is placed.  

Our standard sliding gate height is 33".  There are different options to choose from for the required supports.  The size of the gate and your space will determine which type of support is needed to ensure proper stability and functioning of the gate.

We use locally sourced select grade poplar or oak.  They are all assembled using traditional joinery, eliminating the need for nails and screws to provide a smooth seamless appearance.  The hardware includes casters, gate latch, and mounting hardware.  We try to source all our materials locally and made in the USA.    

The gate is secured to the wall with custom supports made to fit around baseboards and trim. The size of the gate and your space will determine which type of support will be needed.  For openings with offset walls, angled walls or complicated trim work, there may be added costs.    

We finish in a variety of options.   

• Painted gates are finished with Benjamin Moore Decorators White.  For custom paint colors there will be an additional fee.   (Single gates - $125; double door gates - $175)  Please check with us first to make sure your color is available in the type of paint we use.
• Stain grade options are available to match your existing decor.  We use finishes that are nontoxic, food safe and environmentally friendly.  Please contact us to discuss if you prefer this option.

Your gate will come with a life time warranty.  Our warranty covers all aspects of material and production.  Since these are custom orders, we do not take returns.
